Look closely at what the shepherd does. He is not content to just count what he has left. Ninety-nine sheep in safety is not enough for him as long as one is lost in the night.
This is how God looks at you. You are not a lost number in a crowd. If you have strayed, if you feel far from Him today, know that He has not shrugged His shoulders. He is looking for you.
The shepherd does not rest until He has found you. And when He brings you back, it is not with reproaches — it is with joy.
